Hayley Whitten here! Bookworm since 1987. Even before I could read, I loved being read to or enjoying a book on cassette. After I learned to read, I read myself to sleep pretty frequently. I was so excited when I was able to get my own library card and maxed it out frequently over the years. Although my reading taste has changed over the years; my love for books, especially a good mystery, has never changed.
I went off to college and graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Exceptional Needs education. I spent tons of time in college reading textbooks, but always made time to read for fun too. I became a teacher, working hard to foster that love for learning in my students, but decided that the classroom wasn’t where I wanted to be. After a crazy few years and job changes, I stumbled on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and fell in love all over. This field is not without its challenges, but it has been the most rewarding change of my life.
Through that career move, I met Karlee and Jen. Jen and I recently were talking about how our friendship started, but neither of us can remember besides working together. She makes me laugh frequently and we are slowly teaching her to enjoy craft beer. Karlee and I struck up a friendship over her love of craft beer and my desire to make friends. Throughout our friendship, I have learned to enjoy a good craft beer, mostly sours, but have started dabbling in the fruity IPA realm. I really enjoy the Duclaw “Sour Me” series and most blueberry or lime sours I can get my hands on. I also can never go wrong with Gumballhead from Three Floyds or whatever is local.
As far as the boobs are concerned, besides having a pair of my own, they are the only pair in the house. My husband, Stephen, and I are highschool sweethearts and have been together since we were 15. We were married in August of 2009 after 6 years of being together. We bought our century old dreamhome in Kokomo, Indiana and live there with our lazy old lady dog, Winnie, and shelves full of books.
